EARTHQUAKE
It is very rare that we experience earthquakes here in Rhodes. Most of the earthquakes are harmless with a low index on Richter scale. Hence, there is no need to panic in case of an earthquake. However, since many of our guests are unfamiliar with this natural phenomenon, we provide some basic guidance to follow.
If you are in your Guest Room:
* Drop to the ground; a safe and fast option is to lie down on the floor next to your bed. You can also hide next to a desk or a table.
* Stay away from glass, windows, outside doors and walls, and anything that could fall, such as lighting fixtures or furniture.
* Stay inside until the shaking stops and it is safe to go outside. Most injuries occur when people inside buildings attempt to move to a different location
* If you have to get out of the building, do not run – plan your route and stay calm. Do not use elevators.
If you are outdoors:
*Stay calm.
*Move away from buildings, glass, streetlights, and utility wires.
When the earthquake has finished and it is safe to go out, please meet at the hotel’s assembly point, the Villa’s patio.
